You are now re-purchased by God, forgiven, declared innocent and possess a recreated, connected spirit stamped with the nature of God. Now, you can finally have peace with God!
That’s what reconciliation is... peace with God!
The Bible says, "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled." Colossians 1:20-21
Reconciliation means restoring a broken relationship. It is the dissolving and resolving of enmity between those that were once closely related but found themselves in opposition to each other.
Satan needs the permission of your troubled heart to successfully attack you.
When you acknowledge your divine peace through resting in the finished work of Jesus Christ you have a defense that no demonic attack can penetrate.
Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I
unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
Then He said, "The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me." John 14:30
The devil had no legal grounds to attack Jesus so Jesus went to the cross with complete confidence and peace ruling in His heart.
If Satan had any legal grounds to accuse Jesus then Jesus would have been fearful going
to the cross.
If Satan had legal grounds then Jesus would have known that after the crucifixion He would
remain dead... and Mankind's hope would be lost.
All of mankind's hope was resting on the peace that Jesus had in His heart.
This peace confirmed that there was nothing in Him which the devil could use to accuse or attack Him with.
THIS IS THE VERY SAME PEACE Jesus gives to every Christian!
A peace that was sure and strong enough to build the entire salvation of the Human Race on!
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you..." John 14:27
We are reconciled to God and have been given the ministry of reconciliation i.e. pointing the rest of the world to a wholesome, peaceful relationship with God the Father through Jesus the Son.
It is very important to note that before we are reconciled with God we are considered enemies of God.
This fact escapes the average Christian and the population at large.
The average Christian lives as though their unsaved relatives and friends are just not on very good speaking terms with God and if they just manage to stop drinking, cussing and sleeping around they'll be alright ... but this is absolutely ridiculous!
The Bible says... They are enemies of God!
On opposite sides of a war!
And if they die in this condition they will spend all eternity in Hell separated from Him... Forever!
Bottom line... It's time to stop playing around and take the Ministry of Reconciliation seriously.
Our family and friends are going to Hell without our help.
The problem for some is that because of a lack of knowledge they don't feel equipped enough to share the Gospel so they don't.
Other Christians aren't living right so they don't feel they have the right to preach to others.
The answer for both of them is a correct understanding and appropriation of the Grace of God to live right and preach right.
But accessing the grace of God is the subject for a whole other Bible Study.
For now please understand that it doesn't matter how knowledgeable you are or morally upright you live... If YOU die, you go to Heaven but if your relative or friend dies, he or she goes to Hell.
So, start sharing the Gospel and the Holy Spirit will help you.
{Witnessing is as easy as getting a copy of The 4 Spiritual Laws and simply reading it with them}
They may hate you for it now but trust me, if they make it to heaven they will be eternally grateful.
"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation." 2nd Corinthians 5:18
